ISLAND – Νησί
“ISLAND – Νησί” is a series of bittersweet and melancholy photographs made in the Spring of 2021. In this pandemic lockdown period, I traveled to Greece while the country’s borders were closed, revisiting Athens and Paros, places I inhabited a decade earlier with dramatically contrasting life experience. In this time, I was simultaneously hollow with loneliness, knocking at the door of memories carrying their own old pain and isolation, but also reminded of my deep connection to this place and to the rest of humanity.
